As you point out, what could be more dichotomous than that? It began:

"They lie on my kitchen countertop in a pool of milky liquid, opaque white flesh speckled with tiny maroon dots. Their large black eyes stare up at me blankly through snarled tentacles intertwined like hair.

I know after I pull the guts from their inner tube bodies, turning them inside out to rinse off the black ink, remove that strange translucent bone from their very core, and cut them into dainty rings, they will become a delicacy for my dinner. But, I have to think twice before I start to clean these Squid."

Try eel, I bet you'd like it!

Mr. and Mrs. told Sam that Hannah was going to look like me when they saw the ultrasound of her still inside the uterus. How could they tell? So funny. Yes, I have been told we look alike. ;-)

Your commentary is fascinating, and if I get a cha...

Your commentary is fascinating, and if I get a chance at eel, I'll take it. After all, calamari-- which would seem not such a good idea-- is delicious, probably because it is dipped in batter and fried. I'd eat most anything dipped in batter and fried. Maybe even calves liver. BTW, you and your sweet grand daughter look alike in that photo. Have you been told that?
